    Compressed air cutting machine

Hello, we machine a lot of parts out of a composite simular to a masony fire brick using diamond tooling in HAAS mills. The operation is very brutal on machines, and the tooling is expensive. Unfortunately, we can't use coolant. My idea was to use compressed air, simular to a water jet machine. Does something like this exist? The parts are relativly thin, up to about 2" thick. Any thoughts or information would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Check out abrasive jet machining. Just like a waterjet but with air. Think of it as a sandblaster on steroids.
