Hello all, I've been a long time lurker and finally decided to register so that I can ask a few questions.

I have spent the past 5 years working on oil drilling rigs and finally decided to take the plunge and start a small business. I have built a 3d printer, a CNC router and converted a G0704 to CNC. I'm an avid shooter and do some gunsmithing too.

Hello All! I am new to CNC and am currently building the KRMx01 CNC. I have always wanted one and actually have built a few 3D printers and figured what the heck, if I can do that, I can build a CNC. I plan on creating custom carvings in my cabinet doors, (which by the way, I built all of the cabinets in my kitchen from scratch), cutting aluminum, etc. After I play with the KRMx01 I am going to build an 02 model. Learning and building new productive things are fun and I'm having a bunch!

I trust if I have any issues someone on here can point me in the right direction and hopefully soon down the road I can return the favor by helping some else...

I've been out of machining for almost 20 years and am trying to get back in the groove with the small lathe and mill I just recently bought.

I was doing some woodwork - building sliding shelves in a large alcove of the house, where none of the walls are flat, plumb or square to anything - when it suddenly hit me how much I missed making steel chips fly and the (almost) guaranteed precision obtainable with machine tools and good set-ups.

Here's to all of us old Rapid-feed Rammers and Crossfeed Crashers!
