    GOTO Z button

I press this button to get my axis to jog to the home positions, either machine home or work offset home. IT always does the X and Y axis first, then the Z afterwards. How do I make it do the Z axis first? Then the X and Y. I find myself always having to jog the Z up so my tool wont hit anything before I hit the goto Z...

I meant what version of Mach3? The lockdown, or the latest release.
Check the "use Safe Z" box in Config>Logic, and set the safe Z height on the settings page.

oh, its the lockdown 1.84. I tried looking in the huge pdf instructions for mach3 and also played with the settings but not luck yet. I'll try that. What should i have the safe Z at? is this the machine cords or the work offset cords?

In the latest version of mach 3 theres a safe z button, but in my mach 3 ver 2.63 it doesn't exist.

Don't have that version installed. Is it in General Config? Or do you have Config>State?
