    Can't find C5 and C7 (PicStep component)

I am in the process of building my first PicStep and I have come across a problem I didn't anticipate. I can not for the life of me find a 1uF 100V MKT capacitor or at least not one that fits

I did find this one and bought it

    http://www.mouser.com/search/product...ualkey58110000

Unfortunitely I failed to check the physical size of the component. Since then I have looked quite a bit at Mouser and Digikey but have been unable to find on that is this size (approx. 3" or 7.5mm)

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. What has everyone else used?

    Thanks,
    John W

The recomended capacitor (data sheet) is a 1uf mono. ceramic or you can use a 1uf electro. as used in Embedded Acquisistion Systems design

Forgive my ignorance but is an MKT capacitor the same thing as a "mono. ceramic"?

As you may guess I am not very electronics literate but it is facinating...

    Thanks,

MKT capacitors are miniature polyester and monolithic ceramic are minature multilayer ceramic capacitors.
I have used ceramics on my picstep boards. I suggest you do some research on the net (google) if you want to go into the depths of capacitor properties
