Which End Mills should I buy at the start?

My 2x2m CNC is almost done for its first cut. I plan to cut up to 20mm plywood.

What cutters would you recommend? What size and material?

    How many of each?

Can the cutting edge be smaller than the depth of the wood???

    I have a Kress 1050 FME-1 Router with a 6mm and 8mm collet.

I started off buying cheap generic end mills off ebay but now I know better, the amana 46249 is the best for roughing I have found, it makes confetti size chips and loves speed, the other one I use is a 1/8 tapered ball nose off soigeneris.com they are almost unbreakable and hardly wear at all.
