    Sleeves on FK15 support

I am using FK15 support for my RF45 conversion. While assembling the Z axis, I notice that the sleeve on the FK15 support is not long enough - the nut on the ball screw interferes with the oil seal.

I tried swapping the sleeves around - no luck. Searched for others with the same problem - could not find anything.

    Any suggestions?

I have attached a picture of the bearings I purchased.

I would email Chai and get him to send you the right size sleeves or you could make your own; they are simple. If you email Chai, take a picture so he can see what you are talking about. The picture you posted does not show the problem or the sleeve.

Common problem. The seals may not be pressed in far enough.

I ended up removing the seals in my blocks. I found that the seals gave the illusion of minimal play because they were touching the bearings, and in fact there was 0.1-0.2mm play between the bearings contributing to backlash.
