What is 4th or 5th axis bearing type ?

    Hi,

I was wondering what type of bearing is used in the 4th or 5th axis.
The axis I mean is the one which rotates parallel to the X-Y plane or which makes the rotation possible on the same axis as the normal mill

    Best regards,

    Geoff

Most likely a tapered roller bearing.

bigg You might try crossed roller bearings from THK or IKO. These are similar to linear crossed roller way blocks but are made with circular inner & outer races. They can be sealed or open.
