    File Conversion

Would anyone be so kind as to convert a file for me? I am drawing up a machine in Alibre Design (personal edition v12) and need a drawing of a hiwin linear bearing. I have found it in many formats, but not one I can load into my version of Alibre. I have attached an stl version hoping someone could convert it for me. Ideally an Alibre Part file format.

Thanks to all and Merry Christmas.

    Re: File Conversion

you should be able to use a dxf vectorfile
this is a stl file what is a 3d model..
simply don't worth to work with, because too hard to derivate the dimensins of

if you want to work with anyway, then download meshmixer, and export as obj format..

on hiwin site you can find many pdf

    your program could open it
if not then download inkscape, and inkscape can convert ti to dxf or eps....

Try importing a STEP or IGES model of the bearing - Alibre should be able to read one of those. STEP would be preferred, I think. I'm on a later version of Alibre (now known as GeoMagic Design) or I'd try to convert it for you.

    It may work going backwards,
When exporting into Cut2d I use Anycad Exchage 5.0. on the exported stl files. It gets me a starting layer so I guess you could try using Alibre's import feature.
