[Ancient Works]

I would like to run a micro proto controller with a Linux - emc2., which is now running my sherline lathe . If I change the pins and ports and motor tuning etc would it work ?

Are you trying to run a lathe or a mill with this controller? EMC works pretty much the same as Mach3, so it should be possible to set up as long as you know which pins control which motors. But there's not a lot of tech support available from LinuxCNC, so you're going to have to figure some stuff out yourself; it tends to ask a lot of questions you won't know the answers to.
