    LC 20 5000 control alarm #905

We just got this used machine and a #905 oil filter alarm prevents us from powering up completely. We've changed the filter unit the pressure switch, and the lube pump and still get the alarm. We assumed that this alarm is related to the spindle oil unit, but since changing all we know what to change, could it be another filter somewhere?
The stuff we changed came off of other running Okumas we have.
    Thanks

If you have not powered up before, are you sure you are phased correctly?

Yes it is phased correctly and by luck we found the solution to the problem. The alarm actually comes from the air conditioning system for the hydraulic oil supply. The manuals leave a lot to be desired frankly.
Since heat isn't an issue where we are and what we run. we just disconnected the sensor.
Thanks for your replies. Another Okuma in the world is up and running parts again!

Thats most likely a spindle cooler, how did you check rotation? Some of the coolers i have come across have phase rotation protection and thats what sets of an alarm when its wrong.

So did you change the filter on the hydraulic unit?

Just saying sensors are usually there for a reason. It's one thing if it is defective, another if it's working correctly and the real problem isn't being addressed...

    Best regards,

What we did was disconnected the fan behind this panel. We will diagnose it further to know if the fan is good or not. What is interesting is the 905 alarm has nothing to do with oil only that the reefer unit, when it works, cools the oil. Thanks again for the help.
