Hey again guys, well I squared up my gantry and the machine is cutting great, but something is still off in terms of accuracy. The plastic parts from before in my video are cutting evenly now but they are supposed to be .114" and are only .109"-.110". That is not that much of a problem and within the tolerance for the customer, but the issue I am having now is with an aluminum part for another customer, I run the inside profile toolpath for one set of holes, and then a drill path for a small hole in the middle of the larger ones, its supposed to be dead center per my drawing and setup in Vectric Aspire but the drill path seems to hit or miss, sometimes is dead center, sometimes it is shifted to the left and sometimes shifted to the right, what could be causing the machine to do this.
Some things to keep in mind:
I have locked down all the mechanical issues, that I can think of or noticed. Nothing is loose, nothing is out of square anymore. Everything is dialed in better than its ever been to be honest.
I am using Vectric Aspire for CAM software.
I have changed the vector selection once now - The first time I had it run all the way down the line from left to right, then it hopped up the the row above and went right to left, I noticed when it started going right to left, it was shifted and already our of alignment on the first 2 holes.
I changed the STEP pulse and DIR pulse to 10 per Ahrens recommendation.
Here is a photo of what I am trying to explain. On the left it is pretty good on the right you can see the shifted holes in the middle. These holes are then cut out and they hold cables together in computer mods.
