Thanks, Steve.
What type of receptacle do we need for this probe? Or does it come bare and we order the plug and receptacle that we like?
I think I need to look at what the lathe has. It has something there, but haven't paid that much attention to it.

Thanks for your support Guys.
It is important to keep zone threads on technical and off commercial matters.
If you want to contact me to discuss other matters you can send me a PM.
Cheers Keen
That will be cool. I can probably find those on Amazon, electrical parts houses or even Tormach.
Lee
Hi Lee.
I am just checking we are on the same page. The ITTP will (initially at least) have on it a normal Tormach compatible 5 pin DIN plug and cable all connected up and ready to operate.
What do you mean you can find those on amazon etc ?
Keen
Just the receiver end that your probe will plug into.
Lee
This looks pretty cool, I would be interested in something like this, looks sturdy, more so then my wild horse which is the better of the low cost probes I've owned.

Keen;
What are the chances of supplying a probe with no end and just a wiring diagram? I have a Torus pro but have built many cnc control and do have an electronics background. When your probe becomes available, I'll send you a PM. But I'll wait until you post the availability and not bother you in the mean time.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ray;
Most likely it is that simple but earlier one of the post addressed having contacts that early detect an open or close condition (however that is accomplished!) and I was taking into consideration the possible need for an additional power contact or ground requirement. Just don't know enough about this particular unit to make that decision.
It is a great concept though!

Hi Guys.
These passive type probes have a simple circuit. Just 2 of the DIN plug pins are used. The probe operates with electrical continuity between pin 4 and pin 5 until the probe is triggered, which opens the circuit.

Hi Guys.
The first production run for beta testers/early adopters is well underway. I will post more videos soon.
Thanks for your encouragement. Keen
