I am new here and need some help. My maintenance guy is looking to correct my "Y" axis location problem (.005/.006) repeatability.

Axis will repeat when coming from the same direction, off when from other direction.

1997 EzTrak DX This machine has been great over the years.

My guess is a mechanical problem. Check for any movement in the y axis control wheel when powered up. Also let us know what you have found wrong.

Thanks for the suggestion, That does not seem to be the problem-No movement slop in hand wheel or readout movement when powered.
When using manual the readout and dial indicator repeat from both directions. I can also pull and push on the table in the "Y" and only move the indicator < .001 total.

Thanks for those that gave advice. Problem was "Y" motor. Replaced and back to normal.
