Hello Everyone,

When using a pointed roundover bit to profile cut into MDF board I am receiving a "Limit Switch Triggered message in Mach 3. I am getting this message when the bit is creating it's final pass and is taking it's final profile pass cut.

There does not seem to be any load on my motors but each time I am getting this message and I have to go back to the last tool change and start again. Of course my coordinates when this is happening are are nowhere close to my Limit Switches... hence the confusion on my part.

Has anyone else ran into this problem and if so what could this be?

Increase the debounce setting to around 2000 and see if it goes away.

Hi Gerry,

I checked my debounce setting and it was already set at 2000.

I have tried this three times with the same Gcode and each time I get this message in the same exact spot when profiling this cut. Weird!

Anything else you can think of that may be causing this?

I think vibrations may be causing your switch to trip. Keep increasing the debounce in 2000-3000 increments and see if it goes away.

I will try this later today and continue to increase debounce.

Is there a point where increasing the debounce past a certain point yields diminishing returns on performance etc?

I believe that each 1000 that you increase the debounce delays the switch activation by 40 milliseconds (I think).
