Hi there,
I have a second hand cnc machine that I'd like to do some maintenance on. I've read that the ball screw needs greasing routinely. I have these ts1610 nuts that I can't any info on (the closest I've found are sfu1610 ball screws).
There are 3 holes on the side of the mounting flange- 2 small and 1 large. I'm guess the large one is where the grease will enter (see pic 2 below)? It's an m5 thread so I was going to buy a few m5 grease nipples along with a grease gun. Can anyone tell me if this is a good assumption?
Does anyone know what the 2 smaller holes are for (see pic 3 below)?
Finally, could anyone tell me which grease to use? I'm going to spray white lithium grease on the screw threads itself. Shall I get a pot of this and pack it inside the nut too?
cheers guys,
Nic
