    93 Haas VF2 Homing Questions

When I home out my machine it alrams sometimes.
I have swapped cards and still same problem.
I have replaced the x-axis limit switch.
But the braket underneath the table was removed as well.
The one that roll upon to the switch. Which triggers it.
Does anyone know how to set this properly??

    Rcky123:

Ideally I believe the limit switch should actuate 180 deg from the encoder once per revolution marker. However, the amount of hystersis and variability in the switch and the HAAS direction of use of the change of state might bias this some.

All our machines have mechanical limit switches, contrasted to prox switches, and we have never had to adjust a limit switch.

A side moving actuator on a prox switch will have a trigger point for the side motion that is a function of gap when the plate is over the prox. If the gap is 0.1" then you will be closer to the axis of the prox for the trigger point than if you have a gap of 0.01" .

if you are getting zero ret margin too small then you need to adjust the grid offset for the particular axis then watch the dist to go on the zero ret page it should be .118 optimally just mess with the number in the grid offset parameter to change the end value.
