I need help with pressure control on Pierce Scorpion 2000

    Hi everyone,
a while ago I purchased a secondhand Pierce Control Automation Oxy/Plasma Scorpion 2000 and have spent a bit of time getting the computer working. I have everything moving now, however, I am having difficulty working out how the Propane and Oxy pressure adjustments work.
It has a 3 hose Oxy torch and a gas console with 3 regulators with gauges as well as a couple of smaller regulator/valves. Each of the gas console regulators have a solenoid, i.e. one for propane, pre-heat Oxy, Cut Oxy, however, there are a two more solenoids which appear to bypass the propane regulator and pre-heat Oxy regulator providing both at cylinder pressure.
Does anyone have one of these or can anyone else explain how I need to adjust the pressures? I have the pressure charts for the torch/tip which show propane, preheat Oxy and cut Oxy pressures, however, if the extra solenoids open at cylinder pressure what should they be set at?
Also, what/when do I use the smaller regulator/valves? One is on the propane the other is on the cut oxy line

Re: I need help with pressure control on Pierce Scorpion 2000

Well it is fantastic to have great after sale service, even for a second owner of a machine
I emailed Pierce support (now Kraftech) with the same question and they have advised me that the the two extra solenoids do in fact open to bottle regulator pressure and you set the high heat at the bottle regulators. This means having to have two separate Oxy bottles or at least the ability to hook up two regulators at the bottle, for the Oxy. The low heat pressures are set on the machine gas console. Time to get another Oxy bottle and some steel and have a play!
