    Question replacing the motors how to calculate the new ones?

    hello everyone my name is Geli

    so, i have a cnc router machine from a Turk company a good build but ****ty electronics and motors

    so, i decided to change the steeper motor to close loop servo motors problem is i don't really know what power do i need my servos to be the stepper motors are 800W
    so, what i need is some help to decide what power do i need to go for and is leadshine any good should i go with them or should i use so other brand

    Hello Eurgel - 1) if the system currently uses stepper motors and you want to go to servos then you also have to change the drivers and potentially the machine controller 2) You say the steppers are 800W but steppers are not spec'ed by wattage. They are spec'ed by their nominal static torque or by their amperage and frame size. So please publish a photo of the motors name plate so its actual specs can be determined. 3) if the current machine does use 800W motors then use 800W or greater replacements. Peter

    You need to replace CNC controller as well my friend, show machine photos, stepper photos

    Are you certain that the problem doesn't have it's origin in electrical cross-talk?A more specific description of the problems found would enable an accurate assessment of the problem to be arrived at more rapidly and might perhaps prevent the same mistake being made with new hardware.Pictures are always helpful.
