    Tool Breaking! Any Suggestions?

    I have beenn cutting shapes(on Mill table) out of 3/4" plywood with a 1/8"X3X1" (GARR TOOL)bit for over a year now. Recently, the bits are breaking(sometimes on contact, sometimes after a short run. I am using 2-passes at 3/8" ea. Which is halfway through. My FeedRate is F30, my PlungeRate is F30.

    Never had this issue before. If anyone has any suggestions/solutions, please feel free!

    Are they breaking in the middle of a cut? Or at the end of a cut?

    Are you using the very same part number endmill? A difference in the helix angle or number of flutes, etc could be it if your tool part number is different. how is the runout on your spindle? Same rpm's? lowering the rpms actually gives you a higher chipload with G94.
