    Smile 4th axis on Shopsabre

We have a Shopsabre with the lathe 4th axis.
We haven't used the 4th axis much, and in fact for several years.
I'm trying to understand the g-code for it.
This is what I know form dinking around with it.
W 0.0000 to W 18.7000 gives me from what I can tell a complete rotation.
I'm thinking this has more to do with the circumference than with degrees.
So anyone that has an explanation of G-code for the 4th axis would be greatly
    apreciated.

With Mach, I can change the parameters for travel. For instance, I manually set steps per inch (10,000 in my case) for a linear axis. It sounds like you might want to change the parameters for your 4th axis. Some cam programs output axis rotations in Radians (57.3 degrees per radian or so), and some in degrees (360 in a rotation)

My rotary table has gears in it, so I had to figure out how many turns of the servo made a complete rotation, and back track from there.

    Are you using Mach?

It's a wincnc controller. So usefull documentation is rare and sketchy.
