    EZ-Router, so far so good.

I purchased a 4'x8' EZ-Router recently and have been playing with it for a few days now. So far no problems except my lack of knowledge.

    Good onya Mark.

Your knowledge will grow pretty quickly and there are a lot of very helpful members on this forum when you need it.

As with any forum, just need to "filter" the advise a bit sometimes.

    Thanks Greg,
I did a lot of research before making my purchase. I read a lot on these forums. There wasn't a lot of feedback on the EZ-Router machines. I thought I'd share my experiences for the next searcher.

Looking forward to hear your experiences with EZ.
I am in the process myself and just got an offer for a used Gerber. (See post).
One of my preferred choices for a new machine is EZ-router as it looks sturdy.
Problem is back here in Sweden I cant take a look at it.

It is definitely sturdy construction. If there is any information in particular that you would like to know just post here and I'll try and answer. I'm just learning to use it now.

I've had my machine for a couple of months now. Learning the hardware and various software has been a real learning experience. To be honest I had visions of drawing something up with a CAD program, pressing a button and ta dah, a perfect piece was formed. Of course I've found it is a few more steps than that.

Anyway, so far I have not had any problems with my router. I don't have anything to compare it to but I'm amazed at it's accuracy and repeatability. I haven't had to contact EZ-router once since I've received my machine. The only problems have been user error. The machine is very solidly built and so far very reliable. I'm glad I made this choice. It was one of the lower priced (but far from cheap) options.
