    Simple Limit switch Idea

O.K. This Might work. I have access to tons (literally) of satellite receivers. In the front panel there are very small buttons.
In a limit switch the circuit is always connected until the machine over travels. So I will just set up a rocker (spring loaded teeter totter) that holds the switch down until the machine hits it and the circuit would be broken and the machine would stop. Has anybody tried this? It could be put into a small box and mounted pretty easy.

There are CNC hobby machines on the internet for sale that use NORMALLY CLOSED PUSHBUTTON SWITCHES as limit switches. When the gantry hits the pushbutton the switch opens.

So, why not use normally closed pushbutton switches as limits? They are not heavy duty, but the cost is also not heavy duty.

    Just my 2 cents.
