I had to look up what imperialism meant. I still cant see how it fits into this conversation.
Could you please elaborate with your responce. Sorry I must be thick.

    'Rekd teh "waster"??
Does this mean you work for Nasa?

No offence was intended. I was just thinking in terms of how many can get caught up with a way of thinking, and then comes along an individual who wipes away the mind set, and thinks outside the square. Its a bit like the story of the school girl who comes along and suggests to let the air out of the tyres on the bus that is jammed under a bridge.

Benny I believe I read that it did technically enter "outer Space" but only the edge of it (what ever that is) but did not actually leave the earth atmosphere and many miles away from where the space shuttle goes. That is not to take away one single bit of their incredible accomplishment. Amazing, Burt Rutan is a genius to be sure. I remember way back when he designed the BD5 prop and the BD5Jet

    EDIT:
Oh, my favorite part is the 63 year old pilot, notice no young hot dogs with more brains then skills and more guts then common sense but rather chose a seasoned, calm, rational and experienced older pilot.

The bd5's were designed by a man named Jim Bede, not Rutan. He did design the voyager which flew around the world non-stop non refueled in 1986. Todd

thinking outside of the box is not always beneficial. A true liberal never thinks inside the
box, if it's inside the box it has to be wrong ... like when your parents tell you not to put your hand on a hot stove .... what the hell do they know ?
