    Hello
Is anyone familiar with the stencil technology in 3D milling?

Does it work like Tebis advertises it:

You just create 60-70 stencil templates and then 90% of your work is done by simply pressing one button?

If yes, how do these stencils look like?

    Hello

Stencils are basically NC jobs that allocate independently their component part surfaces per colour or layer name.
You build a Job; select the component part surfaces variable over layer "NC-Surface1" or over the colour.
You continue programming the whole component part in the same way; afterwards you export the job’s or the processing.

When you structure and colour the component part in the next data set in the same manner, then you are able to import the processing, and the elements will find themselves automatically and you just have to press start!
In my opinion, it makes sense with processing until fine roughing.
After the finishing, I prefer to define my strategies independently.
With coining steel manufacturing, which are always create in the same way, you can process solely with stencils.

If you have to adjust a lot however, then you can forget stencils all together!

    Hello Andi
    Thank you for your answer!

I would like to hear from others if they work with the stencil technology- if it makes sense to use it.

Tebis made us an offer which is way beyond good and evil...: to adjust the stencils to out component parts...

That why I ask: is anybody working intensively with the stencil technology - also with different work pieces?

    Regards
    Hennes

    Hello Hannes
    It’s worth working with stencils”
But it requires a lot of work before it works well!

It means that you need to invest more time in the preparation of the dataset!
First try to create some stencils yourself, then you will see if it’s something for you!

Pushing of a button and the part is finished never works! You always have to correct, adjust and so on...

    Regards
    EvilErny
