    Post Stepper Motor getting hot

My stepper motors getting hot while running my desktop cnc machine, it gets upto 50degC during a continuous run. Tried to adjust the current no use, Is it will be a major problem when it gets upto 50 deg C ?

    Hi gowthanjgr

50 C is not too hot for a stepper motor ,

this data sheet gives the maximum Temperature Rise = 80ºC Max. (Rated Current 2 phase On)

John is correct, steppers are rated upto 80C or 175F, which is to hot to touch.
