Suggestions for these Long TTS Toolholders?

Tormach sent these to me by mistake 2 years ago, they didn't want them sent back, and so the tooholders have been sitting in a draw since then.

These are the M10 long modular arbor/holder btw, length is a little over 4"/100mm & dia, is around 17mm or 21/32"
Never going to use them for their intended purpose, so any clever suggestions please?
I have a good assortment of current toolholders so haven't really managed to come up with a use for these yet.

Nice one, never considered that. Should be quite possible with a little supporting end cap on both sides.

Anyone else have a cunning plan?

Cut it down to the length of the other TTS, and use it...

Well yes, that much went without saying I thought, but 'use it' for what....?
Something low precision like the slitting saw is good.Could use if for small drills held with a small grub screw, and that's another low precision application but a little obvious.
Can't see any room for fitting a larger tool up the bore.

Drag engraver? There would be room for a nice long spring for consistent force with a long stroke.

Cut them off to same length as other set screw holders and make them for 1/8 or 3/16 end mills.

I have a drag engraver fortunately, but that would be another good idea.
Steve, I have my small endmills - 2mm/3mm/4mm - in ER16 holders, but otherwise that wold have been a good idea too. I always thought that Tormach should have perhaps made a s/screw holder for the smaller sizes - at least for 3/16 or around 5mm - but perhaps they were worried about runout so left us to choose collet holders.

Also, as an aside about the setscrew holders, I have the metric sizes in 6mm/10mm/12mm, and whilst the 6mm seems an appropriate size the 10mm holder is much larger and bulkier than the 12mm holder, and the 1/2" holder (which I also have) is a fair bit smaller than the 12mm holder! Odd........

I notice in pictures of tormach machine classes they make a nifty adjustable indicator holder.
Looks handy for sweeping large areas or large parts and other indicating tasks like 4th axis setup.
An extended version made from one of these would be a decent tool!

Buy an insert ball nose end mill and enjoy the rigidity for contouring deep hemispherical pockets and deep cavity floors. I have these and they work very well at minimizing chatter. They were stiffer than a long carbide ball nose of similar effective diameter. These also work well with the 2 insert center cutting end mills that they sell. I use them for deep helical interpolation before cleaning up the last few thousandths with a boaring head. Yes a slitting saw would be a good alternative use.
