anyone here use surfcam
anyone here use surfcam
Oooh ya
Gary
sure do what ya need
iam having problems on running tool paths on trimmed nurb r surface i will attach part to see what you think
Do U Have The Surfcam File That You
Have Already Tried To Run Toolpaths On
I Would Like To See Exactly Which Surfaces You Are Wanting To Machine
The Entire Part Or What
Or Is The Software Just Giving You Errors
Explain A Lil More
it seems like when i pick the surfaces to run the tool on it recognizes it but when you put in tool info it doesnt do anything the surfaces are in yellow running surfcam 2005 no errors are being given either
Are U Using Planar Machining Path To Try Those In Yellow
Or What I Would Suggest A Tapered End Mill With That Radius On It
To Machine That
Let Me Show You How I Would Machine It
I Will Post The File After While
here is the roughing pass i would use on this part
but for finishing those walls i probably would get some tapered endmills to get the small radius in the corners along with the angle on the walls
scuba cant open file saying invalid version number im using 2005 build 120 no maintence
here try this one
how do i get that step reduction is it included in the 2005 ?
umm
do what seat of surfcam do u have
i have a 3-axis plus seat
and yes it should be in 2005
you can also use Z level roughing
will work the same
but with only one tool where are SRM will can use multiple tools
i have 3 axis plus 2005
Menu-nc-srm
Is Where It Is On My 2005 Version
They Moved It To 3 Axis On Velocity
ok i found it, you were saying to use tapered endmill for finish on the walls how would you get 2axis to recognize the geometry
creats splines along the top or bottom or the surfaces.
i didn't examine your geometry to much
but that is only goin to work is the taper walls keeps the same angle all the way around it
if ya give me a lil time i can show what else i would do to finish it
but im kinda busy at work this AM
ok i ll see what i can do with it i appreciate all the help
