    SurfCAM and Tombstones

Anybody done any tombstone parts with SurfCAM? I am looking for tips or examples. I will be milling on a Haas, type yet to be determined, but I am trying to get a start on setup.

I assume it's all about CView and construction coordinate setup that makes the system work.

    Thanks,

Hi, do you have a horizontal MC and want to machine multiple parts around the table? If that's the case you can program the first part and then use the "transform operation" function in the operations manager to machine the other parts. Does your postprocessor support B-axis indexing?

    tombstones

I do all the time...it is time consuming but yes you are right c-views. you must set up all your views and label them. also make sure you put in your work offsets if you use them. I hope this is sum-what helpful. it does get a bit tricky when all you cutter path is displayed.
