Hi guys

it's been a while since I've been back here. I remember when I built my first CNC, the guidance from the awesome people at CNCZone was invaluable.

so here's a present for you, something I wrote in the past few weeks: SVGnest - Open source vector nesting for CNC machines, lasers and plasma cutters

nesting software is pretty expensive and up till now there hasn't been a free and open source alternative. Well now there is!
Catch is that being a web-app it can't process DXF files, so you'll have to convert to SVG

check it out and let me know if you run into any issues.
