Tool Changer for CNC router (or spindle)

Hi to all. I have built CNC router with a working area of 750mm (X) x 550mm (Y) x 250mm (Z) and have been working with it for the past 3 years. Now I am considering building a bigger one with a bit of more sophisticated features such as 5 axis, automatic selectable vacuum table, fluid cooling in case I'll be needing it in the future and tool changer. So far I seen many variations of the fore mentioned features but have never heard anyone of designing a CNC router (even if a spindle is to be used instead of a router for that matter) with a tool changer. Is there anyone on this forum with such experience?
    Thanks
    Marting

There are a few ways to do it. There is the wine rack style where all of the tools are in a rack and you move the spindle over the tool you want, here is one example: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zZ_bvCvb4M]iehk.net CNC Router automatic tool changer - YouTube[/ame]

Majestic Machinery have some tool changer components available:

    They built this router: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/cnc_wo...ew_router.html

Another approach I have seen on you tube is to have 4 spindles on a vertical carousel which rotates to select the spindle though this is probably not appropriate for 5 axis....

Oh have you priced 5 axis CAM software?

Expect an ATC spindle with toolholders to run between $4000 (small chinese from Keling) to $10k-15K (larger HSD spindle).
This machine has a chinese ATC spindle, but it's not finished yet.
