Hey Everyone, I have a 1998 Mazak QT-20 with a Mazatrol T-Plus controller.
The tool eye "arm" has quit moving, so I decided to dig in and find out why. The problem is coolant contamination into the gearhead and corroded the bearings & gears in the gearhead. Now my problem.... It is a Oriental Motor Co. LTD. with part #421503 labeled on the gear head. The motor itself is labeled 473102-1. Now, I have found a replacement motor but can't find a gearhead. I went online to Oriental Motor website and they don't spec any motors/gearheads with a 10 watt output. I did a search of the part number on the gearhead and "no results found". The ratio labeled on the gearhead is 1:150. On the web site, the specs are for a 150:1 ratio..??? I do know that the gearhead output shaft turns opposite of the motor direction. Has anyone been through this before or have any idea why I can't find a replacement gearhead from the OEM supplier? Is there maybe an equivalent part number to what I have? Any input will a big help!! Thanks to all!!!!
