    Tool not offsetting

Any one have it were you use 2D contour and the tool will not offset left or right but just goes down the center of the curve? I've checked cutter compensation and its set to reverse wear, Arrow if facing away from the part...

    Re: Tool not offsetting

Did you enable compensation as I described in this previous thread?

I always leave the compensation type to "Computer".

    Re: Tool not offsetting

In sprut 7, this is the button to change direction or offset the cutter right or left or center of the tool path.
I would imagine its similar in sprut 9.....

Select job assignment and click this button to change.

Usually this is automatically set for the op but not always.

Engraving, the cutter will track on center
2D contour, it usually will track to the right or left of the tool path, but not always, sometimes it has to be selected for some unknown to me, reason.........
