Chain your box, turn your cutter comp off, and turn off your lead in/out.
I need to pocket out the box and leave the part in the center. but the pocket keeps taking out the center part.
Thanks for the reply
Toolpaths-contour (do not use pocket) chain to climb cut then use cutter comp.
Chain the island (middle) then the box using the Pocket toolpath.
1st I contour the island then I Pocket the box around the island and the pocket aways takes out the island both are -.100 deep I don't understand why it does this
TIA
Craig
Use Pocket Type: Island facing.
Just tried that and it didn't work
Post your file as an IGES. We'll see what "didn't" work.
hope this works
I did pocket toolpath-choose the cow skull first, then the box.
I have a version 9 file, rename it from .txt to .mc9
I could not open your file save as mc9 and mcx. I also choose the cow skull first. Thanks.
The problem is the skull and the box are on the same Z level. If you want the skull to be above the square you must translate the skull up in Z.
Craig,
How does this grab you?

I dont have a clue how you did this I translate the skull up in Z. I contour the bull (middle) then the box using the Pocket toolpath
can you zip a mc9 file.
Thanks
I got it
