    Torque

    Is it normal that i have more torque in 1/16 than 1/2 step mode? my steppers stall in 1/2 step at 40ipm but not in 1/16'th mode would figure it would be the opposite? freshly burn't chips too

    Hi,

    It is very normal to get more "efficient" torque rate with smaller steps. Use the smallest step rate as possible. Btw, Could you share 1/16 picstep firmware please? Or e-mail to me?
