    Transporting BMC 20

    Hey Guys

I'm hoping someone can offer a suggestion on what the easiest way is to block the counter weight up on a BMC 20 to take the weight off the z-axis for shipping. Is there a hole in the counter weight and corresponding hole in the casting to "pin" it up with a piece of rod. I just purchased a 91 as a hobby machine and have to travel 1000 miles to get it and would like to solve most of my issues around securing all the axis prior to getting there.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Put the Spindle Nose on a board on the Table that would be good enough
All comments made are my opinion!

Thanks for the suggestions, received a email from Hurco Support. Should have mentioned that this was a BMC 20 LR. Used the cast support hole in the column for the counterweight then blocked the head up from the rails themselves rather than the table. Once the ATC was secure it was ready to go, travelled some 1300 miles without incident.
