Hello everyone. I have to work with the turret punch press Amada Aries-255 and I have some questions about it. May be there are those on this forum who have previously worked with such machines. It's very difficult to find information on the Internet about these old machines.

About machine maintenance and consumables
- What kind of lubricating and hydraulic oil is used? Please recommend suitable brands of oils
- Any useful information about commissioning and maintenance of the machine

About working on the machine
- Any useful training videos and tutorials about working on the machine
- Instructions and guides for programming for the machine
- Are there any freely available emulators of the machine? On which I could try out the work of the written program

There should be a placard on the machine which describes all the PM requirements. It should tell you where to lube, what kind of lube to use and how often it should be done. The manual is also a good resource for that information. I have not run or set up a combo machine, but i would recommend keeping the mechanical part of it very clean. Every day, every setup keeping it clean. The dust that the laser creates will wear the sliding parts of the machine quickly if you don't keep it clean. It may depend on where you are located but the facility in Schaumburg, Illinois would be a good place to start for training.
