Using tapered roller bearings in a mill?

I have a X2 mini mill which I'm currently replacing the spindle on. Since it's already disassembled, I'm looking to upgrade my bearings as well, and am looking at tapered roller bearings as an option.

For those people running tapered roller bearings, how are you keeping the grease inside the bearing? Since it's a vertical shaft, since the grease naturally going to flow out of the bearing over time? Also, don't tapered roller bearings naturally want to eject their lubrication due to centripetal force? How hard did you find it to correctly preload the bearings?

Finally, are there difference levels of precision with tapered roller bearings, similar to ABEC with ball bearings?

    Why not AC bearings?
A lazy man does it twice.

No way to seal them. I did find out that SKF makes sealed AC bearings, but they cost $70 each.
