    V-max hobby router

Greetings all! This is my first post, and I have to say that in the week I've been registered, I've learned a lot (and I now know that I have a very long way to go). You guys have a wonderful, non-judgemental, help-anybody attitude going here which I think is great! Thanks.
My interest is in getting a decent low-end machine for various woodworking/soft metal projects (more on that later). V-max (an advertiser) has a 4X4 "hobby router" on sale which looks appealing. I emailed them for specs, but it's too soon for a reply, so I thought I'd ask the experts. Has anyone seen one of these? It seems like a lot of router for the $. Am I right, or is my newby ignorance showing?
Any help is very much appreciated.

    Trex

Hello fellow newbie. Check out signindustry.com, sometimes they sell those routers on there for dirt cheap. No motors or controller, but you save big $$$.
