Variable Speed Head Drive Belt Help Needed - FOUND IT!

Need to change the drive belt as part of VS head rebuild on a Clausing/Kondia FV-1-CNC. The manual shows all the bearings needed, and lists the belts needed too. (the same parts are used in the manual VS head).

The problem is the part number for the variable speed belt listed isn't coming up with anything when I search, nor does search using the info on the installed belt!

Anyone able to cross reference a Conti 20-85, or a Roulunds Roflex-Vari 1040?

    Many thanks!

    Tony

YOUNGER EYES AND FLASHLIGHT .... the part, in case anyone needs it, is ROFLEX 37J0910FR, available in the US for about $55 from JD-belts.com (looks like a good source for VS belts x-references)

Re: Variable Speed Head Drive Belt Help Needed - FOUND IT!

Hey, I just aquired a Clausing Kondia Fv-1 cnc with delta 20 controller from dynapath. I am trying to purchase right phase converter and also get tips on the specific coding details of the machine. Clausing has told me to prepare 20amps but also told me 28 amps as well and neither times did they say the had a spec sheet which they were reading it from. Have you found any good resources for this machine?!?!

My machine has a 3HP motor fitted. I use a 10HP phase converter (5HP wouold have done) since I have a 7.5HP lathe that runs off the same phase converter (not at the same time). When hooking up the 3 phase, make sure that the power company legs go to the controller (needs 220 single phase), and that the derived leg is used for the motor only.

I have found the Dynapath manuals essential (one deals with technical, and tuning of boards, etc.), the other with controller operations and conversational coding. Glen at Dynapath (tech support) is great for elusive gremlins, but the manuals will solve a lot of the small issues.

You can find a lot of Kondia manual info on line. I haven't had to deal with Clausing directly.

Start saving for SDFP 1525-17 servo board rebuilds: if you don't need them now, don't worry, you will at some point (you will know when that happens: the machine will E-stop on rapids). SD manuals can be found online.
