verify over-cut while back plot is fine.

A tool path is create on a line. Back plot show the cut right on the desired geometry but it over cut into the part (about .020) when running verify. I don't know what wrong and how to fix it. I have not machine the real part because not sure it may or may not an issue. Please help!

I'd say that the backplot is going to show you the most accurate representation of the exact path that the tool will follow in regards to what is posted...

However, the verify is great to show potential errors in regards to how you are setting up the exact stock...

SO! they are both pretty dang valid in regards to the whole package.

In backplot, are you having it show your tool, and watching to make sure it isn't overcutting into the edge of your stock?

Put it in top view, have it show your stock, then run the backplot with the "quick verify" on - the quick verify shows the tool diameter and the path that it will take...kinda like both sides of the road vs just the center of the road...The center of the toolpath may be fine, but when the entire tool diameter is taken into consideration, you may be violating the material - as it is showing in the actual Verify...
