    very small diameter shaft coupler

    Hello all,

I have a small stepper motor from kemo (https://www.kemo-electronic.de/en/Co...eppermotor.php).
I cant find anywhere anyone that have a shaft coupling for a 1.5 mm diameter shaft.

Can anyone help me find it ? I tried making one in wood but it didn't turn out ok.

    Regards

for a home made solution - if you don't need zero-backlash - I've used short pieces of wire insulation - or any stiff, durable, semi-flexible tube that fits tight on the shaft(s) - at that scale it doesn't take much - depending on what you're doing -

I did find a rigid SS 1.5mm coupler - Product | Designatronics Store | Stock Drive Products/Sterling Instrument

I'll second SignTorch's recommendation. Tube works amazingly well for small shafts.

As above if need more torque grind a flat on motor and or receiving shaft and crimp on the tube, if torque not great biro internal for tube boiling water to soften and slip it over actually very strong.
