    VF-3 coolant problem

So we got the new 5, but all of a sudden my coolant flow dropped to nothing on my 3. Motor is pumping, impeller looks good, just no flow what so ever. I peg it to the old machine being jealous of new one. But what does it entail to clean out the system to get flow back up and running.

The quick attempt at a fix is to take the fitting out at the spindle housing, disconnect the hose from the pump and blow air backwards through the lines. Have somebody hold the hose in a container with something to prevent splashing.

If you are lucky this will blow out all the chips that have accumulated at corners and constrictions in the coolant lines.

If you are not lucky now you start taking covers off to take the lines apart and clean them separately.

Before firing up the pump again get a water filter like Home Depot sells for filtering tap water, and plumb the coolant flow through this.

    First question....Yes.

Second question....It depends, anywhere from two months to more than six months depending whether we are running much Delrin.

Third question....Aw heck you would ask that; yes I do, actually it is posted in a thread somewhere but I forget which one. Somewhere in the Haas forum.

    You go look for it.

Don't say that, HuFlungDung will accuse me of muscling in on his territory.

    Bump
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.
