Hey guys,
I just got a 3-axis TB6560 board in from China and am having some issues with voltage. In a nutshell when my board has power and is connected to the parallel cable of my running computer, the stepper motors start vibrating and getting hot.

• I am using 3 NEMA 23 motors rated at 3V ~1A (From an Old Printer)
• I am using a 19V 6.3A DC power source (from a laptop)

I checked the x,y,z terminals and they are all getting 19V at this point..

Why would the board be sending a full current to a motor that needs 3Vs?

Do you mean that 3-channel blue colored board with a small fan on a heatsink? If yes, I have to disappoint you: this board has errors in its design.

First, check the value of current sensing resistors (big resistors near the output). The output current depends on their value (refer to TB6560's datasheet).
Second, you probably have to replace osc capacitors.
There are less serious problems that you may want to fix too. I have a 5-channel board and it looks more like a DIY soldering kit...
