Hi, i'm new to this forum and have a keen interest in building my own cnc plasma cutter table. I have a good knowledge of electronics and systems, I like metal fabrication and have built a few things in my time but nothing as complex as this could be.

My idea is to build a 2x4 plasma table with a pnuematic plate marker too and then use it to learn from. Eventually leading to using it to make a larger machine.

I hope to enjoy my time here and learn some new skills and knowledge.

    Thanks.

    About me

    Hi everybody.

My name is Steve mercer and my handle harkens back to my university days playing Dungeons & Dragons (Now I can pretty much guarantee that user name has never been used before). I was born in New Zealand, spent eight years working in Australia and am now living in the good ole USA (Raleigh, North Carolina).

I am a woodworker in my spare time as well as an electronics nut (I used to repair Apple II motherboards) but am a software developer by occupation.

I am wanting to build a CNC router to augment the wood working and to create some reliefs as well as creating toys for grandchildren.

I have already bit the bullet and acquired the electronics needed (Power Supply, 3 axis controller and Nema 23 stepper motors. Now I need to figure out how to build the mechanical components.

Hello to everyone. My name is Eugene King, I am one of the owners of TG Designs. My primary Job is to design patterns that can be used with cnc Routers. The designs can be used with the desktops as well as the large cnc routers. I am also a co-owner of Appalachian Mountain Crafts. We use and test market all of the products that I design for Tg Designs. You can check out our web site at tgdesigns.net TG Designs is a relative new company. My wife and I decided that we would start offering our designs for sale for the cnc users. Our products are easy to make and will sale relatively quickly.

Hi everybody. My name is Micah and I work for eapprentice.net as an instructor. I'm always on the lookout for new ideas for classes and to broaden my own knowledge of programming and CNC processes. With luck, I'll even be able to help answer some questions on the forum from time to time.

Hi! Just getting my feet wet, done some CNC routing at a makerplace in my town and now I want to build my own machine! I am interested in making something that I can use to engrave metal front panels and circuit boards for making modular synths. Looks like a great board and I am proud to now be a member!
