what is the best 5axis software

Hi all, i am currently using DELCAM POWERMILL 8 and i know they are now only really getting in to 5axis, but i was told by a friend in this field that hypermill is one of the best out there. I have never used any other to know.I'm a tool maker
and we also do alot of vacuum forming and then theres alot of trimming.I would have to do alot of editing of the program out at the machine because what i want it to do for trimming it wont do it, so i'm now looking else where. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated

Your friend is not leading you astray, hypermill is quite strong in 5 axis and would be worth checking out. It has specific cycles to do undercut trimming, which you might find useful. Also....hypermill's 5 axis technology is developed in-house by Openmind, not licensed in like many other brands of software.

Of course you should check out other systems...but I think you will find hypermill might be exactly what you are looking for!

5axisatm if you want some serious 5 axis control I would suggest NCL by N.C.C.S:

Hi 5 axis, in the new powermill there is a disk cutting profile trimming option, this is made specifically for what you are after, have you looked into using that?
