What is the Diffrence from 21 to 21I

I have a crap load of manuals in PFD format however some are 16 18 21 and some are 16I 18I 21I and some powermateI now some Fanuc guys tell me that ther is not much difrence from one to the other and the Program and Parrameter manuals are good for just about anything. I have a Powermate model D/H but all the manauls I have are for powermate I D/H models can I use them for refrence or not?????

I use a 21 I and I have to say Fanuc went backwards on this controller (not as happy with it as I expected) I agree with you on your manual problems some of the macro turning examples they give in the book will not work and others do I can get macro examples to work from cnc train books that are really not supported by Fanuc I talked to one of the people that sold us the machine that the controller is on and they have been disabling the manual guide I side of the 21 I and selling them just as a 21 controller I guess they had allot of grief with the I side of the controller I guess all that I can say is that your not alone , never had any problems finding parameters that I needed to change though .

    Question:
Does the "I" in 18I, 21I or 32I stand for Intel?

I have been told that teh I series is all fiber optics, But I have had some Fanuc guys tell me that other than Maintenence nauals thet the Parameters and so forth do not change much from one contol to the next I am just wondering how ture that is. I do know that from as far back as I can remember that Fanuc keeps adding new stuff but they do not change the old stuff at all they just keep adding to it.
As far as the control itself i am not having trouble I have just started a new job and they have all older fanuc here I am just wondering how much of the info i have is good for the old B and C models and so forth
