    What does NFR stand for?

    HI,

Just pulled a piece of stock labeled 6061-T651 NFR.

I get the rest but do not know what NFR stands for. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Lee

Usually, it means "Not For Resale"

Maybe this is a special batch they weren't sure about...

That reminds me of an alarm on an Okuma Cadet that I ran for a while. If I didn't put a G50 at the begining I got the alarm "Maximum Revorutions".

Laughed my ass off until I realized that the person who wrote that could speak and write at least two languages while I can barely speak one (nope, can't spell half the time either).

OK, still kind of funny. Just the attempt at sounding a foreign language out when you have an accent.

    Not for resale.

Was it a tiny little sample bar?

+1. Too many 'Politically Correct' zealots these days.

I remember taking delivery of a CNC machine from Japan, they had drives which evidently were a version of well known Ward-Leonard types.
The labels on the drives in large letters were Ward-Renard.
