Ball bearing drawer slides.
Unsupported round rails & closed linear bearings or bushings.
Supported round rails & open linear bearings or bushings.
Supported round rails & radial roller skate type bearings.
Hardened & ground liner rails with ball bearing carriages.
V-groove bearings with v-rail tracks.

My plasma table uses square tube and 608ZZ bearings. The small mill I'm building is using supported round rails, but I'm chucking the extrusions in the junk bin and machining a solid base for them.
