What speed and pitch ball screw

My bench mill uses a 1 inch diameter 10 turn per inch (imperial) screws at the moment. I thing it's equ to the RF2 (See picture)

I will replace the screws with a suitable size zero backlash ball screw and nut.
I am considering using direct drive from the motor to the new screw. I aim to buy a ball screw with 5mm per turn.... that works out at about 5 turns to the inch. What maximum speed should I set the motors at ? I'm using Mach3 at the moment.

Do you consider this adequate. I plan to be milling either aluminium or small steel parts for model engines, so nothing too big and heavy.

    Many thanks....

    George
