Who has spoken to Madcam owner Joakim lately?

It's been probably 6 months since I've received a reply from him

I was about to send him a note, but the last time I was chasing a bug and got a response was Oct 10th 2024. Particularly bummed about this as I purchased 5Xtra last year and have received about 2 emails worth of support and plenty of shouting into the void here only to be responded to by the one and only williamsmotower. Also, there was a person svenkala (sp?) who used to be quite useful around here. Pretty sure it is just the two of us...

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here. One of the main reasons we stopped using madCAM and went to RhinoCAM is because it made our management team nervous that development and the future of the product rested on one person. I know Joakim had retired years ago, and was enjoying spending time with his granddaughter. That was back in 2015 or 2016. I hope he is doing well, and I would imagine 10 years down the road that he is enjoying more grand kids, sailing, gardening and all the other things he enjoyed.

There is another product, GWizard that is an amazing piece of software for calculating speeds and feeds, and breaking tools comes to an end with parameters from GWizard. But Bob Warfield passed away suddenly, and the product is now dead in the water. I sure hope Joakim is okay, and enjoying life. But there is risk inherent with a product that doesn't have a larger team behind it.

Joakim has replied back to me. I really like Madcam, and am hopeful I can continue to use it.

Having a place where users can bounce ideas and questions off of each other could help a lot.

I guess currently CNC zone is best for this? Or Maybe we can start a FB group, help take the burden off Joakim for simple questions?

One thing I do need help with is I have a second machine. A Bridgeport DX-32 TC22 that I need help with building a post for.
